Oat Brownies

These brownies melt in your mouth! What I LOVE about this recipe is in the name. It’s the OATS.

  • The oat flour can be made from whole oats or purchased, which is a PLUS. Oats tend to pack more fiber, B vitamins, and beta glucan than regular all purpose flour.

  • The texture is also majorly different- oat flour tends to create a less dense product, so if you like a fudge like brownie, using oat flour may not be for you.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup oat flour

  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/4 cup monk fruit sweetner

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

  • 4 oz unsweetened apple sauce

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips ( I love using the mini chocolate chips)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease an 8x8 glass pan.

  2. Mix the oat flour, cocoa powder, monk fruit sweetener, baking soda, and salt together.

  3. Mix the melted butter, apple sauce, maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract. Once fully mixed fold in the dry mix along with the chocolate chips.

  4. Spread the batter evenly into the pan.

  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

  6. Once done, let cool for 5-10 minutes then cut in 3 rows and 3 columns and ENJOY!
